A deadly hit-and-run accident took place on Friday in Santa Ana. The accident occurred on Friday, August 23, 2013 around 11 am near Cabrillo Park and East Fruit Street. The accident took place between an Audi and a Nissan. Apparently, the Audi was moving at a very high speed and sped through a stop sign. It was then that it slammed into the side of a Nissan.
Unfortunately, two men in the Nissan died shortly after the crash. Both men were in their 50’s. The two were on their way to buy supplies for a party in their neighborhood. The driver of the Audi got out of his car and attempted to open the Nissan’s door. When he failed to open and get inside the car, witness said that he walked away while talking on his phone.
According to police officials, the man is a gang member who is out on parole. Police officials encourage anyone with information to come forward and call Orange County Crime Stoppers at (855) TIP- OCCS. In addition, a $1,000 reward is being offered to anyone who can provide information that will lead to an arrest.
